This interactive service, led by Pastor Ken Colman, will include activities to serve the community and strengthen our faith as we put that faith into action. This is a fully inclusive gathering for all young adults of every ancestry, gender identity, gender orientation, and religious background.

Journeys in Faith and Action meets on the deck at the Alpine Community Church, 2225 W. Victoria Drive in Alpine. Please wear a face mask to show love and respect for others.

Bible Study

Please join Pastor Ken's Bible Study on the Gospel of John on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. for those working during the day, or on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m.

Study the entire Book of John, beginning with the Good News and ending with the victory of Christ and his call. Some of the major ideas explored are: a new day in religion, what does it mean for me to live on the bread of life, the resurrection and the life, "My peace I give to you," and searching for Jesus. The meaning of the selected passages is made clear by considering such aspects as ancient customs, locations of places, and the meanings of words. The simple format makes the study book easy to use. Included are maps and glossary with key pronounciation tips. These study books are $15 a copy. Please let Pastor Ken know if you would like a study book.

Everyone is encouraged to join this discussion via ZOOM. If you are interested, please email Pastor Ken at pastorken@alpineucc.org or call the church office at 619-445-2110.

Book Study Group

Everyone is invited to read John Dominic Crossan's book, How to Read the Bible & Still be a Christian. This book grapples with Scripture's two conflicting visions of Jesus and God, one of a loving God, and one of a vengeful God, and explains how Christians can better understand these passages in a way that enriches their faith. We will read one chapter a week.

Everyone is encouraged to join this discussion via ZOOM. If you are interested, please email Pastor Ken at pastorken@alpineucc.org or call the church office at 619-445-2110.
